Why this exhibition?
I co-curated this exhibition with the other high school intern at Yuan Ru Art Center to share our love of cats and raise awareness of abandoned cats. We have asked students from 5 different middle and high schools, acquiring more than 30 pieces of cat art drawings.

What happened during the event?
Whiskers in the Sunshine exhibition took place during the big monthly opening event, along with the artworks from professional artists. Visitors from Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue came by to see the art pieces, and we have created small gifts and goody bags for the visitors came by as we shared the inspiration behind this exhibition and received donation.

Reflection
This event was meaningful in a sense that many visitors enjoyed and even laughed at some of the paintings as many of them were also cat owners. They resonated with the message we tried to convey, and many supported our cause. Through selling goody bags, this exhibition raised over $1,000 in profit, and all of this proceed went directly to an organization called Meow Cat Rescue.
