Associated Student Body (ASB)
I have been part of leadership since sophomore year, and I have gained many valuable skills during that time. I’ve learned to work with people from different grades and with varied interests, taken the lead on several class fundraisers, participated in Student Senate meetings, discussed community service initiatives with school administrators, and planned school-wide events. Most importantly, I discovered a new side of myself. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I plan to continue my endeavor for growth in the future.

My Job
Although I have served as class secretary for two years, my job was not merely taking minutes during weekly class officer meetings. It was my job to ensure efficient communication between the leadership class and the admin during each class fundraiser, and with my friend, I have created a system in Excel sheet that organizes purchase records and ordering requests in a more efficient way. This way, students received the food/products they ordered beforehand much faster than it would have been without such system.

Various Fundraisers

Since sophomore year, our class has organized various fundraisers, ranging from Krispy Kreme sales to hosting a TOLO event featuring laser tag. Although not every event raised a significant amount of revenue, major events like TOLO generated over $1,000 in profit. As of October 2024, our class has raised over $5,000 in net profit, putting us on the right track to host an amazing prom next May.

Reflection
Being part of leadership has been wonderful, whether in school or outside school. As a senior, I am excited more than ever to do more engaging fundraisers for the class of 2025 to end this year strong and make prom experience memorable for all.
